Woodturner, woodworker in exotic woods

As long as I can remember I have been intrigued by wood. My great grandfather was a contractor in Cuero, Texas where he built numerous now historical landmark buildings. My grandfather was a contractor in Dallas specializing in mausoleums. My father was in contracting. So there is a rich family history working with wood (at least in construction). My interest in wood turned from using it as a building material to using it for its own sake as an object of art. Wood art in crafted and turned objects, wood art in furniture, and wood for its own sake as works of beauty crafted by nature.

After retiring in 2007 I decided I has waited long enough for my dream workshop. I had the great fortune of being able to construct that workshop in Rock, MI where I live with my wife Natasha, dog Mio, and three cats. I love working with exotic woods to create unique pieces, but I also love the abundant local wood species. In addition to making all manner of items for sale in the gallery I also accept contracts for unique pieces.
